CloudMile Partners with National Taiwan University(NTU) to Nurture New Generation Cloud Talent

The College of Management of National Taiwan University has always been committed to cultivating the talents that enterprises need, and has built interdisciplinary industry-academia cooperation from programming languages to data analytics. The College of Management collaborates with CloudMile to offer an integrated curriculum for the Business Analytics program.  This includes Google Cloud authorized training courses to bring real-world enterprise experience to the campus while also bridging the gap between industry and academia.

Two Authorized Google Cloud Courses with Hands-on Labs Lead Students to a better Understanding of Cloud Computing

As an Authorized Google Cloud Training Partner, CloudMile offers a series of Google Cloud authorized training courses on cloud infrastructure, big data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML). These courses cover both fundamental concepts and practical implementations, enabling beginners interested in learning about cloud computing to quickly grasp the usage scenarios and value of Google Cloud services. In collaboration with the College of Management of National Taiwan University, CloudMile technical trainers delivered cloud courses that includes an introduction to Google Cloud, identity and access management, compute, storage, networking services, containerization, and logging & monitoring. It also includes the processes, challenges, and benefits of building a big data pipeline and machine learning models with Vertex AI on Google Cloud. In addition to sharing cloud knowledge and successful case studies, these courses provide hands-on labs. Trainers guide students to understand the benefits of cloud technology and gain practical insights into how organizations can effectively protect and manage their resources in the cloud.

Andy, a student from College of Management of National Taiwan University who participated in the course, shared: "Through the courses, I discovered the powerful identity and access management (IAM) capabilities of cloud computing. It shattered my perception that cloud access management was limited to permissions like those found in Google Drive." 

Another student Jack actually applied the BigQuery service to his project for the program. He stated, "Google Cloud provides an impressive data pipeline, and the hands-on lab exercises has helped me better understand how to operate BigQuery and comprehend the documentation."

Aim to expand collaboration with more universities and promote Google Cloud in Taiwan

The footsteps of cultivating cloud talents never stop. CloudMile is planning to open applications and collaboration opportunities to all universities in Taiwan, aiming to nurture more future cloud talents for the industry. Dr. Michael Chen said, "The collaboration with the College of Management of National Taiwan University is a good starting point. We hope to serve as a seed for cloud education, continuously promote Google Cloud to academia and industry, and accelerate the adoption of Google Cloud in Taiwan". In addition, CloudMile has also launched the Internship Program in 2023, which provides outstanding talents with the intern opportunity in cloud computing and develops more talents for Google Cloud.
